OOTD: Color Blocking

Merry Post-Christmas!  So far so good on this posting every day business.  I should be back later this week with my reasons for creating this blog, but I want to be as consistent as I can be, so here's another outfit of the day.

One of my favorite things to do with my outfits is incorporate color -- lots of it.  Today's outfit is a mix of darker primary colors.

H&M Mock Turtleneck, Anthropologie AG Stevie Cords (wine), SB Boutique Haley Flats (Blue snakeskin)

And here's one by our mini "forest" above.

And now for something...silly:

You can sorta see the wine color of the pants here in natural light.

Sundays are bittersweet for me because they mean that I have to sleep early to get up for work the next day.  BUT! My roommate's back in town and I think there's a bottle of wine in our near future (::cough:: this evening).

I have a wine membership at the Bella Wine Caves and Winery and I LOVE it!  I'm a big fan of zinfandels, and they make really stellar ones.

Well, that should do it for now.  My BF and I are off to the city to try out the DSLR.  See you tomorrow!

Anthropologie Sale Haul!

As you may or may not know, I have started an about year-old love affair with the store Anthropologie.  It has such cute, quirky clothing that really speaks to me.

Well, Anthropologie has started its winter Tag Sale last week (which is basically a mass amount of markdowns), and just finished its 25% off sale promotion.  This is amazing because Anthro NEVER has percent off sales.  EVER.   Soooo, I was a bad girl and partook in the rarity of the occasion.  Here's what I took home:

Fisherman's Companion Sweatercoat.  I love this -- it goes with everything! Dresses, jeans, leggings, you name it.

s
AG Stevie Cords -- These are so unbelievably soft, and you'd be surprised how many colors wine colored cords go with.

Loosely Looped Tee - If you know me, I looooove green.  And scarves.  A green shirt with details that look like a scarf?  Easy peasy and now belongs to me!

Dwarf Quince Cardigan - This was an impulse buy :/.  But super versatile and very cute!

Wildest Dreams Top - I love this tucked into a pencil skirt and belted.

Plie Necklace - I've been looking for a bib necklace for AGES, and this fits the bill.  Very cute and I already wore it with my OOTD for today :D.

Season's Way Tee - I had to buy this when I saw Kim from Anthoholic wear it a couple times.  I <3 it!

Did any of you get anything?  Anything you might have your eye on?

OOTD: Pushing Daisies

Merry Christmas everyone!  I wasn't able to go home this year, so it was a bit of a sadder Christmas than usual, but we still got up and got dressed!  Here is my church-goin' outfit.  I didn't realize my bib was crooked till after I changed back into comfy PJs, but I think it just looks like part of the dress in the pictures :P.

Anthropologie Curlytop Cardigan, Anthropologie Kissing Friday Dress, Anthropologie Openwork Circles Tights, Chinese Laundry pumps (old), Anthropologie Plie Necklace

I finally looked into fixing the heels on an old pair that was well loved.  It was $10 and they came back good as new! I'm so excited -- I love the copper tone on these.

See you all tomorrow!

OOTD: New Blog!

So I'm sitting here, watching The Fifth Element, trying to decide how to handle this first blog post business.  How do your write your very first blog post ever anyway?
For those that know me, the name of this blog is a play on words on my name, which means 'to look for' in Spanish. I'm 27 years old, newly finished with my Master's degree, and trying to figure out what to do next with, well, my life.  I've been out of college for enough time to give up my jeans and babydoll T-shirt phase, but not long enough to solidify who I want to present to the world. So, join me in my journey to find my personal style.  Currently I favor stores such as Anthropologie and JCrew with a little of Forever21, Zara, and little boutique fashion stores like Therapy and Ambiance.  I also love Ebay and secondhand shops for their unique pieces to work into my wardrobe.  Some days I love my outfits and never want to take them off and others I only wear because I'm out of time and just need to get my butt to work.  I'm hoping that this blog will help me grow or whatever, maybe help me with my own Eat, Pray, Love evaluation of life....or something like that.

But I digress.  My goal is to post every outfit I wear, every day -- great, not so great, or somewhere in between.  Who knows, maybe I'll learn something or whatever.

Anyway, no better way to start than to just start!  Here's my very first outfit of the day:

Fisherman's Companion Sweatercoat (Anthropologie), Buffalo Check Boy Shirt (JCrew), Gifted Skirt (Anthropologie), Spanx Brown Tightend tights (Nordstrom), Chinese Laundry pumps (old)

Me making faces while BF is trying out his new DLSR.

Me playing with my iPhone while waiting at the Chibi Taiyaki shop.  OMG, so good!

Aaaand, me dancing like a stupid face.

Merry Christmas Eve everybody!  See ya tomorrow!
