Day 21: Nerdily Presentable

Yesterday I had to go to an expo to present some of the tools that my team offers to the company I work for.  Chatting up and marketing to end users requires an upbeat and warm personality, but I also think that the way you dress as a huge impact on the impression you make on others.  Since the organization I work for is somewhere between business casual and casual, I wanted to look professional, but approachable.  So, I went with a nice silk tie neck blouse with dark bootcut jeans.  I decided to nix the accessories and go with a clean pony tail and glasses, and I really think I accomplished my goal.  More folks than I thought were interested in what I had to say, and it was overall a pleasant day.  Score one for fashion!
