Day 13: Please Fasten Your Seat Belts...

As I checked my reflection in the mirror one last time before heading out to work this morning, I realized something.  I'm dressed like an old school flight attendant!  I mean, oh...crap.  But, as I was cutting it to the last second as always, the only thing I could really do is swap out my heels for flat boots in hopes of downplaying my "in flight assistant" wannabe outfit.  I'm going to pretend it worked.  Would you like a packet of peanuts?

Outfit Details
Top: Target Tucker for Target Polka Dotted Top
Dress: Anthropologie Maeve Fifth Form Shift
Boots: Anthropologie Miss Albright Loose Reign Boots

Wow, that's the shortest outfit details description I've had in a while.  But sometimes, simple is better.  How has everyone's Valentine's Day been so far?  Mine has been uneventful, but a little birdy has told me that I'm being taken out to dinner.  I wonder where we'll go?  I love my BF and even though I'm thankful for him every day, I love an occasion where I can give him extra hugs and kisses because Hallmark tells me to.

Tomorrow I will be headed back to my hometown Chicago for some belated Christmas time (I worked through Christmas last year) with my family and some much needed chilling time.  I'm planning a post on packing for next week, so stay tuned for that!

Thanks for stopping by, see ya tomorrow!

  2. I don't think I would have thought flight attendant, but now that you said that I really see it! That blouse looks great under that dress...the colors are very complimentary.

  3. I really like this photo shoot. Good job Ricky! I didn't think flight attendant when I saw you at home so I laughed when I read this post.
I really like the last picture. It's one of those pictures you'll show your kids when they're 20 and they'll say, "Hey cool outfit mom! So retro!" or at least you hope they'd say something like that...

  4. @becca: thanks! I love the tie neck and polka dot aspects of it. Thanks for visiting!

@Linda: haha, I guess I shouldn't bias people so all they see is a great outfit :p.

@Liezl: woo for retro mom! Actually, I'm the one taking my own pictures with the tripod and camera timer. Ricky doesn't have time everyday.

Thanks for reading, <3 you guys!

  5. Red polka dots and bright blue pinstripes = brrrrilliant! I've got this blouse too (along with every other fashion blogger in all of Christendom) and I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear it quite like this. :D

  6. Haha, seriously I think EVERYONE either has this top or a similar cut/design with a different print. But it's so cute, how could you not go for it?
